The Opening Ceremony of CN-Yulu Intellectual Property Center, which was also known as The Intellectual Property Discussion Seminar, took place in the Shenzhou International Hotel at 9:00 A.M. on September 9th, 2007.Over 80 guests were invited to participate in the ceremony, including officers involved in the Legal Affairs Office of the State Council (LAOSC), State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), China Customs, Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau (BCAB), and local Intellectual Property Offices of Beijing, Guangdong and Hebei.Also in attendence was Tatsuhiko Sato, who is a member of Japanese Intellectual Property Strategy and the former director of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA).And other guests included the principal person in charge of Intellectual Property in big incorporations or universities such as Haier Inc. and Tsinghua University was also present.The ceremony were covered by local well-known media.

On the Opening Ceremony of CN-Yulu Intellectual Property Center .YUAN De, director of the center, spoke in the ceremony and gave a warm welcome to all participants.Mr. YUAN briefly introduced the center with an emphasis on its characteristics and the role of Non-Profit and Private Non- Enterprise Organizations.The center is aimed at providing senior IP rights services covering research, training, communication & collaboration, exploitation of information resources, and counseling & consultation.

The center was unveiled by JIN Wu-Wei, the division chief of LAOSC; YU Qing-Yuan, the deputy director of the Office for Social Management of BCAB; WANG Cheng, the division chief of SIPO; and LI Yu-Nan, the division chief of Beijing Intellectual Property Office.¡¡PU Fang and LIU Zhi-Hui, both directors at SIPO, activated the official website of the center. Agreements on mutual collaboration were signed with Hebei Intellectual Property Office, Guangdong Intellectual Property Office, Haier Inc., and Beijing Shijingshan Intellectual Property Office after the activation of the website.The starting ceremony of the project Branding Strategy of CRD & Researches on IPRs Management took place thereafter.

In the end of the opening ceremony, XIE Shun-Xing, chairman of CN-KnowHow Intellectual Property Agent Ltd., thanked all participants, organizations and entities who have been supporting CN-KnowHow in IP research and consultation.He also gave thanks to senior local and international guest researchers. The Intellectual Property Discussion Seminar continued after the opening ceremony ended.WEI Qi-Xue, senior expert for Japanese Intellectual Property, and Tatsuhiko Sato spoken in the seminar, focusing on the situation and status of Japanese Intellectual Property.Thereafter, Mr. YUAN discussed the developments and problems in China Intellectual Property .
