Fundamental knowledge and considerations for customs recordation of copyright:

(A) The following certificates or proof of entitlement, and the  applicant's proofs of identity are mandatory documents for submission.Other documents should be submitted by the applicant when appropriate.
(B) If the accompanying documentation is in foreign language, the main content should be translated into Chinese with confirmation signature from the applicant or agent.
(C) Unless stated as copy, the following documents refer to the original. 

1. Proof of entitlement:
    Copy of the certificate of voluntary copyright registration and the registration certificate accompanying drawings works. Others  include court decisions and administrative authorizations, and other  publications, including the original copyright evidence.

2. Applicant’s proof of identity:
    Chapter Business Management stamped copy of business license confirmation  (limited to domestic business enterprises); or copy of company registration documents or certificates issued by the local government(only foreign business enterprises); or copies of identity documents of the applicant (limited to natural persons);

3. Agency power of attorney:
    When the  applicant appoints an attorney for prosecution, or for application filed  by overseas agents (including China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). The  power of attorney shall be signed by the legal representatives or  authorized individuals of the applicant);

4. Agent identification:
    Chapter Business Management stamped copy of business license confirmation (limited domestic business enterprises); or approval documents for establishing a law firm;

5. List of the legitimate users:
    The list of  enterprises which have been given the applicant authorized rights to use  the works related to goods import and export;

6. Picture:
    Photos of the illegal  or infringing goods, and the packaging. The image should be clear and  conspicuous. If necessary, captions may be marked or attached;

7. Suspected infringing cases:
    In those cases, the  applicant has already acquired the list of the enterprises that are  importing and exporting the infringing goods, he has the characteristics  of the infringing goods, and possesses preliminary evidences;

8. Right to dispute the description:
    Only in case there are disputes or legal  proceedings between the applicant and others. The applicant may provide a  written statement, complaint or defense in order to revoke, or have an  application, or other documents, declared invalid;

9. Other: applicants should disclose other relevant information.
