In  February 2011, CN-KnowHow, appointed by our Japanese client Mr Satou,  filed a request for invalidation for an Utility model patent (Patent  Number:200810018344.X) owned by Shanxi Caihong Electronics Glass Co.,Ltd  with the title of "Temperature equilibrium apparatus and method for  flat panel display glass substrate molding”.

After  the appointment, experienced patent attorneys from our company were put  in charge of the handling of this invalidation case, After conducted  detailed and careful searching,  a  total of nine reference documents were obtained including patent  documents, books, etc. , which can destroy the inventive step of the  concerning patent. Written materials for the request for invalidation  were prepared meticulously, after multiple written and telephone  communications with the client.

After  holding the oral proceeding on 21 June 2011, The patent re-examination  board of SIPO has made the invalidation decision on 23 September 2011,  according to which the whole of the concerning patent right is ruled to  be invalid. It was stated in the decision that the claims of the  concerning patent did not possess prominent substantive feature when  compared to prior art, therefore the invention did not possess  inventiveness pursuant to paragraph3, article 22 of the patent law.
