In February 2011, CN-KnowHow, appointed by our Japanese client; Mr Satou, filed a request for invalidation for an utility model patent (Patent Number:ZL200820222527.9) owned by Shanxi Caihong Electronics Glass Co.,Ltd with the title of "ELECTRODE MELTING TANK FOR OPTICAL GLASS”.

Upon appointment, experienced patent attorneys Mr Han Guosheng and Ms Wang Ying from our company were put in charge for handling this invalidation case. They prepared carefully the written documents after obtaining up to 10 references which could have undermined the patentability of the concerning patent. On 21 June 2011, they both attended oral proceedings before the patent re-examination board of State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO). The patent re-examination board of SIPO made invalidation decision on 01 September 2011, according to which the whole of the patent right was ruled invalid.
