Per invitation of the Rural Development Association Korea, a speech on "Summary on Intellectual Property Rights Protection Concerning the China Agriculture" was carried out by Mr. XIE Shunxing, the president of CN-KnowHow Intellectual Property Agent Ltd. The speech was taken place in Korea on December 11, 2006.

The speakers of this conference are from the Rural Development Association and its subsidiary research institute, and also include examiners of Korean New Plant Varieties.

In the conference, Mr. XIE explained IPRs protection system in China agriculture by describing the plant variety rights, patent, trademark, examination, judicial protection, and administrative protection.

After the speech, both Parties proposed and agreed that similar conferences should be taken place aperiodically, to develop IPRs protection in agriculture between China and Korea.
