The Well-Known Trademark Recognition and Protection regulation states that well-known trademarks are trademarks that are widely known by a relevant public in China  and enjoy a high reputation. "Relevant public" includes consumers using  certain types of marked goods or services, other professionals and  relevant personnels engaged in manufacturing the marked goods or  services, and sales persons involved in the marketing channel of such  goods or services.
